What is Insight7?
Insight7 is a web platform that transcribes and analyses customer conversations, then scores them against criteria you set and pulls out recurring themes. It covers sales calls, support calls and customer research interviews in one workspace.
The workflow begins with recordings. You either sync calls automatically from a meeting or telephony tool, or upload audio, video and transcript files. Insight7 transcribes them in more than 60 languages, applies a scorecard or research question, and returns dashboards, reports and quotes tied back to the transcript. Managers then use those results for quality assurance, coaching and roleplay practice.
Directories list an initial release in October 2022, and early listings framed Insight7 as a customer research tool for product teams. Its current site leans further into call intelligence, describing three stages: preparing reps before calls, guiding them during calls and improving performance afterwards. The homepage says more than 1,000 businesses use it, naming Carfax, Proofpoint, Credit Acceptance, Penn State University and YMCA.
Key Features
Scorecards with transcript evidence do most of the work in Insight7, since every rating can be traced to the quote that produced it.
- AI call scoring: Each call is graded against evaluation criteria, either from a template or written by your team. Directories note that every score links to supporting transcript quotes, so a reviewer can check a mark in seconds.
- Voice of customer analysis: The platform groups pain points, requests and sentiment across many interviews or calls. Directory listings also mention journey maps and reports, which help research and product teams summarise qualitative work.
- Multilingual transcription: Paid plans transcribe recordings in more than 60 languages, according to the official pricing page. Business adds custom vocabulary, which helps with product names, acronyms and industry jargon.
- Live Assist: Insight7 offers real-time on-screen prompts and next-best-action suggestions while a call is happening. An AI knowledge base sits alongside it, answering product questions from your own company and product material.
- AI coaching and roleplays: Coaching feedback is generated from scored calls, and roleplay scenarios let reps practise before speaking to customers. Roleplay appears from the Business plan, while fuller coaching sits in Plus and Enterprise.
- Redaction and alerts: Business and higher plans add PII and PHI redaction, plus keyword, scorecard and performance alerts. Automations route results to the right people without someone checking every dashboard manually.
Pros
Coverage is the strongest argument for Insight7: it can review every recorded call rather than the small sample a human QA team manages.
- Full call coverage: Automated scoring lets managers review all calls instead of a random handful. Contact centres and sales teams get a fairer picture of each agent and spot risky calls sooner.
- Traceable results: Scores and themes link to the exact transcript lines behind them. Researchers and QA leads can defend findings to colleagues because the evidence is one click away.
- Research and QA together: One tool handles interview synthesis and call quality checks. Product, CX and sales teams can share one account rather than paying for separate research and QA software.
- Security credentials: The site lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and GDPR compliance, plus AES-256 encryption. It also states that customer data is not used for AI training, which matters for regulated teams.
- Discount for some buyers: Educational and non-profit organisations get 50 per cent off the Pro and Business plans. That brings a three-seat Business workspace within reach of university research groups and charities.
Cons
Price scaling is the weak spot for Insight7, because the step from Business at $299 to Plus at $1,499 a month is large.
- Steep tier jump: Plus costs $1,499 a month for 20 users and 2,500 analyses. Growing teams that outgrow Business’s three seats face a fivefold rise, so negotiating Enterprise terms may make more sense.
- Tight lower limits: Pro includes one user, 50 call or transcript analyses and four project analyses. A researcher running a large study or a busy support desk will hit these caps quickly.
- Key tools gated: Redaction, alerts and roleplay start at Business, while coaching sits in Plus and the API in Enterprise. The entry plan is therefore closer to a transcription and scorecard tool.
- Recording consent burden: Every analysed conversation must be recorded lawfully. Many regions require participant notice or consent, so you need clear disclosures, retention rules and a check with your legal team first.
- Unclear free option: Futurepedia lists a free plan with three analyses, but the official pricing page shows only a free trial and paid tiers. Expect to rely on the trial for evaluation.
Who is Using Insight7?
Customer-facing teams make up most of Insight7’s user base, from contact centre QA leads to sales managers and UX researchers.
- Contact centre QA leads: Quality teams score every support call against compliance and service criteria. They use alerts to catch problem calls early.
- Sales managers: Revenue leaders review discovery and demo calls at scale. They turn the scores into targeted coaching and roleplay practice for each rep.
- Product and UX researchers: Research teams upload customer interviews to find themes, pain points and quotes. Directory reviews mention saving hours on interview and focus group analysis.
- Regulated organisations: Financial services and healthcare teams use it for compliance monitoring. PHI redaction and HIPAA claims make it a candidate for patient-facing calls.
Pricing
Insight7 starts at $99 a month for one user, with three higher tiers and a free trial (official prices, October 2026).
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $99/month or $990/year | 1 user, 50 call or transcript analyses, 4 project analyses, 60+ languages, basic dashboards |
| Business | $299/month or $2,990/year | 3 users, 200 analyses, 10 projects, redaction, alerts, automations, AI roleplay |
| Plus | $1,499/month or $14,990/year | 20 users, 2,500 analyses, 50 projects, AI coaching, account manager |

Directory figures differ: Toolify still shows an older Starter plan from $24 a month, and Futurepedia lists a free plan that the official page does not show. Plan limits and discounts change often, so treat the official pricing page as the final word.
What Makes Insight7 Unique?
Evidence-backed scoring is the concrete difference: Insight7 ties each criterion score to transcript quotes, which makes automated QA auditable rather than a black box. Many call analytics tools give a number without showing why.
Its research heritage also sets it apart from sales-only call recorders. The same workspace can synthesise customer interviews into themes and also grade support calls, so research, CX and sales teams can share findings instead of keeping them in separate tools.
Compatibilities and Integrations
Call recordings reach Insight7 through more than 50 integrations, with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and RingCentral among the named platforms.
- Meetings: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and Cisco Webex sync recordings for analysis.
- Telephony: RingCentral, Dialpad, Nextiva, Vonage Business, 8×8, Google Voice and Zoom Phone are listed.
- Conversation tools: The integrations page also names Gong as a source of call recordings.
- Uploads: Directories report uploads of audio, video and text files for interview analysis.
- API: Call analysis APIs are reserved for the Enterprise plan.

Summary
Insight7 suits teams that need to analyse many customer conversations, whether support calls, sales demos or research interviews. Its transcript-linked scoring and redaction features make automated QA easier to trust and audit. The main limitation is cost at scale, since the Plus tier jumps to $1,499 a month and the entry plan has tight caps. Recording customers also brings legal duties, so settle consent and retention policies first. Use the free trial with a set of real calls and your own scorecard before committing to a paid plan.
