What is Floutwork?
Floutwork is a desktop workspace for Mac and Windows that bundles several AI chat models, a tab-grouping browser, notes and tasks into one app, with admin controls for company rollouts.
The product now describes itself as an AI work OS for teams. Staff open one app to chat with GPT, Claude or Gemini, browse with tabs grouped by app and project, and keep notes and tasks that a memory engine feeds back to the assistants. Administrators sit above this layer, deciding which models people can use and watching usage across the organisation, so a company does not need a separate subscription for each assistant.
Floutwork began as a productivity browser for individuals, which Toolify first listed in November 2023, and has since shifted towards company use, adding governance, memory and onboarding tools. The website names no founders or head office. Its pricing and security pages were current when we reviewed them in October 2026, although many directory listings still describe the earlier browser-only product.
Key Features
Multi-model chat backed by admin rules is Floutwork’s core, because it lets a company give every employee AI access while keeping control of models and spending.
- Multi-model chat: Staff switch between OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and other models in one window. The pricing calculator also names Perplexity and Grok, but no full model list is published, so confirm versions.
- Smart browser: A built-in browser groups tabs by app and by project rather than in one long row. This came from the original product and helps people who keep dozens of work tabs open.
- Contextual memory: A memory engine learns from the notes, tasks and bookmarks stored in Floutwork. Assistants can then refer to your own projects without background being pasted into every chat.
- Team workspaces: Each project or department gets its own workspace with chosen tools, models and rules. Separating work this way keeps client material apart and makes permissions easier to manage.
- AI governance: Admins decide which models and custom assistants staff may use, and a Work Insights view reports on usage and work patterns. This gives IT a single place to apply policy instead of chasing personal chat subscriptions.
- Onboarding kits: New hires can receive a ready-made workspace containing the tools, bookmarks and models their role needs. Managers spend less time on day-one setup and new staff start from a consistent base.
Pros
Consolidation is Floutwork’s best case: one per-user plan covers several AI models, a browser and notes, replacing a stack of separate subscriptions.
- Fewer subscriptions: One Pro seat at $29 a month gives access to several model families. The company’s calculator claims savings of up to 78% against paying for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini separately.
- Central control: IT can set model policies, manage workspaces and watch usage from one console. That matters for firms that must show how staff use AI with company data.
- Privacy terms: Floutwork says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on AWS in the US, and never used to train models. Third-party login details stay on the local computer.
- No card for trial: The 7-day trial includes $5 of AI credit, unlimited team invites and no request for payment details. Teams can test the full feature set without a purchase order or a forgotten renewal.
- Enterprise sign-in: SSO, SCIM and SAML come with the Pro plan rather than a higher tier. Mid-sized firms therefore get automated user provisioning without having to negotiate a separate enterprise contract.
Cons
Little independent evidence exists yet for the new team product, so buyers are relying mostly on the company’s own claims.
- Few reviews: Independent user feedback on the team-focused version is scarce in October 2026. Buyers have little outside evidence on reliability, so a careful pilot is the only real check.
- Short trial: Seven days is tight for a team pilot that involves IT approval and user training. The help docs still mention a 14-day trial, which adds confusion about the real terms.
- No free plan: The older free tier has gone, though Toolify still lists it beside $14 monthly and $89 lifetime plans, and Capterra a $12 plan. Solo users now face a per-seat price aimed at companies.
- Security still maturing: Floutwork reports working towards SOC 2 Type II rather than holding the certificate. Regulated buyers may need extra assurance before placing sensitive data in the workspace.
- Shifting focus: Many directory listings still describe the old productivity browser. Comparing reviews is therefore difficult, and features praised in older write-ups may have changed or moved.
Who is Using Floutwork?
Small and mid-sized companies rolling out AI to staff are the main audience, with Pro covering teams of up to 1,000 users.
- Operations leads: Managers use it to standardise which AI tools staff can reach. One workspace replaces a mix of personal accounts and browser extensions.
- IT admins: Teams that need SSO, SCIM and model controls manage access centrally. They also use usage data to track AI adoption.
- Remote workers: People juggling many tabs and apps use the grouped browser and notes. Keeping work in one window helps them stay organised across projects.
- Growing start-ups: Firms hiring quickly use onboarding kits for new staff. Each recruit gets a consistent workspace on day one.
Pricing
Floutwork charges $29 per user a month for Pro after a 7-day trial, with Enterprise quoted separately (official prices, October 2026).
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Trial | $0 for 7 days | All features, $5 AI credit, unlimited invites, no card |
| Pro | $29 per user a month | Up to 1,000 users, SSO, SCIM, SAML, custom assistants, 20% off yearly |
| Enterprise | On request | Over 1,000 users, custom support, dedicated deployment possible |
Capterra still lists an old $12 monthly plan, Toolify the retired free, $14 monthly and $89 lifetime options, and the help docs a 14-day trial, but the official pricing page shows the figures above.
Disclaimer: Floutwork reworked its plans when it moved towards teams, so confirm seat prices and trial length with the company before committing.
What Makes Floutwork Unique?
Floutwork wraps multi-model chat in a full desktop workspace with a browser, notes and memory, then adds company governance on top. Most multi-model chat apps serve a single person in a browser tab and offer no admin layer at all.
Its browser heritage also sets it apart from pure AI hubs. Tabs, bookmarks and notes live in the same app as the assistants, so the memory engine can draw on real working material rather than only on chat history.
Compatibilities and Integrations
Floutwork runs as a desktop app on Mac and Windows and links to Google and Outlook accounts, with identity tools on Pro.
- Platforms: Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows desktop apps; no official mobile app found, although one directory lists Android and iPhone.
- AI models: OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, with Perplexity and Grok named in the pricing calculator.
- Accounts: Google and Outlook connections, with login details stored on the local computer.
- Identity and admin: SSO, SCIM and SAML on the Pro plan, with hosting on AWS in the US.

How We Rated It
Floutwork scores 3.6 out of 5, since a broad feature set is offset by thin documentation, few independent reviews and no free plan.
| Criterion | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Accuracy and Reliability | 3.6/5 | Depends on chosen model |
| Ease of Use | 3.5/5 | Busy interface to learn |
| Functionality and Features | 4.0/5 | Browser, notes, AI, admin |
| Performance and Speed | 3.6/5 | Desktop app, limited data |
| Customization and Flexibility | 3.8/5 | Workspaces and policies |
| Data Privacy and Security | 3.9/5 | No training, US hosting |
| Support and Resources | 3.3/5 | Thin docs, few reviews |
| Cost-Efficiency | 3.2/5 | No free plan now |
| Integration Capabilities | 3.4/5 | Integrations not well listed |
| Overall Score | 3.6/5 | Average of the nine criteria |
Summary
Floutwork suits small and mid-sized teams that want one desktop workspace for AI chat, browsing, notes and admin control. It brings several model families under one seat price and gives IT a central place to set rules. The main limitation is how little independent feedback exists since its change of direction, together with SOC 2 still in progress. Solo users will find the per-seat pricing hard to justify now that the free tier has gone. Run the trial with a small pilot group and confirm the models and integrations you need before buying seats.
