Swifty

Swifty was an AI travel agent that booked business flights and hotels through a chat conversation, then handled payment and invoices. Lufthansa Innovation Hub launched it in 2023 for freelancers and small firms, and it later added WhatsApp, email and voice booking. Revolut acquired Swifty in October 2025, so it no longer operates as a separate standalone service today.

What is Swifty?

Swifty was an AI travel agent that booked business flights and hotels through a chat, then took payment and issued invoices. Lufthansa Innovation Hub launched it in August 2023 for freelancers and startup staff.

The idea was simple. You typed where and when you needed to travel, and a team of GPT-4 agents read the request, shortlisted options and completed the purchase without sending you to another website. The innovation hub described a multi-agent design in which booking agents and support agents worked together, so the assistant could both talk to you and carry out the transaction. Lufthansa claimed a typical business trip took around five minutes to arrange.

Stanislav Bondarenko led the project and later co-founded the spin-off company with Tomasz Przedmojski. Directories went on to list WhatsApp, email and voice channels, plus white-label tools for airlines, travel management companies and online agencies. Revolut announced on 14 October 2025 that it had acquired Swifty, and both founders joined Revolut, so the standalone product has ended.

Key Features

Swifty’s most important feature was end-to-end booking, because the chat did not stop at suggestions but also charged you and produced paperwork for your records.

  • Chat booking: You described a trip in everyday language and received a shortlist of bookable flights and hotels. The GPT-4 model had been tuned to read travel context, such as dates, budgets and preferred times, rather than needing form fields.
  • Payment inside the chat: Swifty took payment in the same conversation once you approved an option. This removed the usual jump to an airline or hotel checkout page, which is where many business bookings slow down.
  • Automatic invoices: Receipts and invoices were generated after each booking and sent with the itinerary. Freelancers could pass them straight to an accountant or expense tool instead of collecting them from several suppliers.
  • Single trip overview: Tickets, hotel confirmations and travel documents were gathered in one itinerary. Lufthansa presented this as a way to keep everything for a trip in a single place rather than scattered across email.
  • Multiple channels: Directories such as Toolify report that requests could arrive by WhatsApp, email or voice as well as web chat. Travel agents could reportedly pass customer emails to Swifty for automated handling.
  • White-label option: Travel companies could reportedly offer Swifty under their own brand. Listings name airlines, travel management companies and online travel agencies as target partners for its AI search and booking engine.

Pros

The main reason to use Swifty was speed, with Lufthansa quoting about five minutes to book a full business trip in one conversation.

  • Fast booking: A complete trip with flight and hotel could be arranged in roughly five minutes, according to Lufthansa. That suited people booking between meetings who had no assistant to do it.
  • Less admin: Automatic invoices removed a tedious step from expense reporting. Self-employed users and small finance teams gained the most, because they had no travel desk to collect receipts.
  • Wide airline coverage: Its flight partner was said to cover about 90 per cent of US and European airlines. Most routes a European or American business traveller needed were therefore bookable.
  • Large hotel supply: Expedia Group was named as the exclusive lodging partner, giving access to hundreds of thousands of properties. Users did not have to accept a thin inventory to get a chat interface.
  • Credible backing: Swifty grew inside an airline group’s innovation unit before spinning out. That background gave early users more confidence than an unknown startup handling their payment details would have.

Cons

Swifty’s biggest drawback today is that you cannot use it, because the standalone service ended after Revolut bought the company in October 2025.

  • No longer available: The standalone booking service has closed and does not accept new customers. Anyone needing chat-based business travel booking now has to choose another provider, such as Navan or Perk.
  • Unclear pricing: Swifty never published a price list we could confirm. Directories disagreed, with one quoting $30 a month and another listing contact for pricing, which made budgeting difficult.
  • Narrow scope: Only flights and hotels were bookable. Rail, taxis, restaurant reservations and carbon offsetting were on the announced roadmap, but we found no evidence that they ever launched.
  • Limited policy controls: Swifty targeted freelancers and startups, not large companies with strict travel rules. Toolify mentions travel policy support, but we could not find any detail on approval workflows or spending limits.
  • Domain confusion: The old swifty.so address now shows an Indonesian page run by Loketcuan, which presents itself as a distribution partner. We found no visible link to Revolut or Lufthansa, so treat it with caution.

Who is Using Swifty?

Swifty was used mainly by freelancers, startup employees and small firms that travelled for work but had no corporate travel tool.

  • Freelancers: Self-employed consultants booked client trips in one chat. The automatic invoices made it easier to bill clients or claim costs at tax time.
  • Startup employees: Staff at young companies booked their own trips without a travel desk. Invoices arrived ready to forward to the finance team.
  • Small businesses: Firms with occasional travel used Swifty instead of an agency or management platform. It covered the basics without a contract or setup project.
  • Travel companies: Airlines, travel management companies and online agencies reportedly tested its white-label booking engine. They wanted conversational booking without building the agents themselves.

Pricing

Swifty is discontinued, so there is no current plan to buy (checked October 2026, based on Revolut’s announcement and directory listings).

Plan Price Status
Standalone service Not available Discontinued after Revolut acquisition, October 2025
Standard (reported) $30 / month Historical directory figure, unconfirmed
Enterprise (reported) Custom Historical directory figure, unconfirmed

Neura Market listed a $30 monthly Standard plan with a 14-day trial, while Toolify listed contact for pricing; we could not confirm either from an official source.

Note: These are historical figures only, and no Swifty subscription can be purchased today.

What Makes Swifty Unique?

Swifty completed the booking rather than just suggesting flights: it searched, charged you and produced the invoice in one thread. Lufthansa Innovation Hub called it the first autonomous AI assistant in business travel, at a time when most AI travel tools only drafted itineraries.

That end-to-end approach is what attracted Revolut. The bank said it would fold Swifty’s technology into its Loyalty Programme and work towards an AI concierge for travel and lifestyle tasks, alongside its AI financial assistant. Revolut reports more than 65 million customers, so the ideas behind Swifty may reach far more people inside that app than the original service ever did.

Compatibilities and Integrations

Swifty connected a chat front end to Expedia Group hotel stock, a separate flight supplier and OpenAI’s GPT-4 model.

  • Platforms: Web chat and a web dashboard, plus WhatsApp, email and voice as reported by directories.
  • Travel supply: Expedia Group hotels and an unnamed flight partner covering most US and European airlines.
  • AI model: OpenAI’s GPT-4, run as coordinated booking and support agents.
  • Partner integrations: A reported white-label engine for airlines, travel management companies and online agencies.
  • Data and export: Receipts and invoices for expense records.

Swifty Tutorials

Swifty worked in five short steps, from a typed request to a paid booking and invoice, although the service has now closed.

  1. Open the chat and state your destination, dates, times and budget.
  2. Review the shortlisted flights and hotels the assistant returned.
  3. Ask for changes, such as an earlier flight or a hotel nearer the venue.
  4. Confirm your choice and pay inside the chat.
  5. Receive the itinerary, tickets and invoice in one overview.
  6. Forward the invoice to your accountant or expense tool.

Summary

Swifty suited freelancers and small teams who wanted trips booked and invoiced in one chat. Its main limitation is that the standalone service ended after Revolut bought it in October 2025. We would avoid the swifty.so domain, which no longer appears linked to the original team. Revolut customers may see related features inside the Revolut app in future. For a similar tool today, start with Navan or Perk.
